On-site Service

If you are within a one hour drive of Sebastopol, CA,
(i.e., in central Sonoma County),
we can provide on-site service.
Because on-site takes more of our time (and costs more of your money),
we try to avoid it.
But there are still a few things that just can't be done over the net.
On-site service has a minimum one hour charge,
which includes travel time to your location in excess of 15 minutes.
Please note: If your computer is simply dead,
there is probably not much we can do to help you.
Because computer prices always seem to be dropping,
it is probably cheaper (maybe much cheaper)
to buy a new computer rather than attempt to fix an old one.
In this case, we can help you decide on a new machine
and then help you move your data onto it.
Things That Require A Site Vist
- Hardware installation.
Although we can talk you through simple things like adding a printer
or an external disk, adding more memory or a new controller card
is beyond most people's comfort level.
- Networking problems.
Most problems that interfere with your
ability to access the Internet will also prevent us from providing
online help. However, many network problems can be
fixed by following some simple troubleshooting steps. See

for more information on this.
- Severe virus infection.
Some machines have been completely
hammered by viruses/trojans/etc. to the point where they
can't connect reliably (or at all) to the net.
